Incus offers both digital and analogue ANC signal-processing engines for aftermarket noise-reduction headphones and earphones.
Analogue signal-processing is a low-power option with negligible processing latency, and this can extend the ANC performance at higher frequencies. Incus has developed high-performance analogue ANC signal-processing circuits which can be used with a range of ANC earphone and headphone designs.
Digital ANC signal-processing can be a low-cost and flexible option, but it often results in a reduced ANC performance owing to a significant signal-processing latency. In order to tolerate this factor, Incus earphones and headphones feature phase-compensating acoustic delay elements, and this feature enables the use of a conventional DSP to deliver class-leading noise-reduction performance.
